Rotary Air Compressors

Rotary Air Compressors

The two different types of rotary air compressors include rotary screw compressors and rotary centrifugal compressors. Rotary screw compressors use oil or water to cool their engines depending on the model. This cooling takes place inside the compressor to prevent the working parts of the engine from being exposed to extreme engine generated heat. Rotary screw compressors are designed to last, offering a high volume of smooth air output for many years.

Centrifugal compressors use a rotating impeller to generate impressive amounts of power. The air flow through the compressor is continuous so these rotary air compressors are high capacity by design. Centrifugal compressors are also an oil free compressor by design.
